SANA Spaces is HERSANA’s on-site safeguarding and wellbeing initiative, tailored for festivals and events that celebrate Black joy. It is preventative, immediate care and support in venue spaces delivered by gender-based violence specialists. The SANA Spaces Wellbeing team work alongside security, medics and management teams to create care in the much-needed in-between wellbeing support. SANA Spaces is an inclusive space for all while centring the needs of Black women, femmes and marginalised genders who are often left out of the picture, creating a visible, accessible space for those seeking calm, connection and care. Far more than a chill-out zone, SANA Spaces function as intentional safeguarding environments where trauma-informed, culturally competent support is immediately available, grounded in trust, community and survivor-centred response.

SANA Spaces has become a BOXPARK resident. We are present at all major day, and evening events held at BOXPARK with an area exclusive to SANA spaces.
We took on WIRELESS 2025! In partnership with ‘Safer Spaces’ we worked alongside first aid and security for festival wellbeing support across Wireless Weekend.
SANA Spaces meets Freshers Week. SANA Spaces - the official welfare partner for Sussex Freshers Festival.
SANA Spaces was present at all England games during the 2026 world cup fixtures providing welfare and building awareness around the drastic increase of domestic abuse incidents following England games during football tournaments.
SANA Spaces partnered with Brighton Anti-Racist Community Organisation (BARCO) for their summer carnival dedicated to the Black community in Brighton and Sussex to reach our community in Sussex and provide a specialist by-and-for safe space.
SANA Spaces has a jam-packed schedule for summer ‘26 covering festivals, day parties and live-music events providing safe spaces, support and welfare for festival goers and accidences across the UK, keeping summer fun safe.
